Hello, ☺️
My name is Luke, but most of my friends call me EG.
I have just recently purchased a 180SX for 9200$ on auctions, im importing it through Tweed Auto Garage,
Jordan who is the owner of Tweed has been a great help with everything, definitely would recommend him to anyone looking to import a car.
After selling my S14 about a month ago i was doing the usual rounds on Yahoo and came across this 180SX it looked like a great deal so i pulled the trigger on it after getting it looked over by Jordan.
I thought this would be a nice place to archive my journey with the car and drifting experience too, as I don't have much experience actually drifting other than a shoddy sim setup and hogging passenger seats at drift events, lol.
Here are a few pictures of the car and some info on it.
its a 1996 SR20DET model with about 50k miles on it, which is quite low mileage for the price from what ive seen.
currently riding on some pretty mid spec ame circular spec r's
it has some little silly things done to it, a 240 badge on the center garnish 😸
pretty simple bolt on stuff done to the engine bay, for sure needs a new intake filter the current one is basically a fine powder, i dont know what parts are on it exactly currently other than blatantly obvious stuff you can see in pictures, the listing didnt help a crazy amount on a parts list since its almost a stock car.
interior is actually pretty nice other than the weird mismatch painted bits of trim, but honestly i kinda enjoy how it looks in an odd way, its running a pretty sweet set of HKS gauges on the dash and a Battle Club boost gauge, also has a Personal Grinta steering wheel that looks in alright condition. dont know what shift knob most likely some cheap one off of auctions.
a closeup of the HKS gauges, middle one is a bit misaligned lol
closeup of the Battle Club gauge, one of my favorite parts of the car, can never go wrong with a simple clean boost gauge
Well, that's all I'll post for now until I get the car fully checked over since I don't have a crazy amount of info on it. But so far, it looks a pretty sweet car for the price. You rarely see 180s in this condition at this pricepoint anymore and im quite lucky that i found it,
Thanks for checking out my first post!
Till next time - eg
cant wait to see you get into this
