Hey, not much of a build but just wanted to highlight what's been done to my FR-S.
I've had the car for 6 years as a daily "drift car"(1 to 2 events a year.. I know I know) and have driven it essentially stock this entire time. The past year or so I've gotten fairly serious about upgrading the car and getting it more track focused to help me better my own driving skills and so this is where it sits:
Engine:
Stock engine (bottom end was replaced with used one at 160k)
Blitz oil cooler kit with Setrab 19 row core
Koyorad Radiator
Koyorad aluminum filler neck
HKS Hi-Power single exit exhaust
Drivetrain:
Stock Transmission
Stock Exedy clutch/flywheel
(New clutch and lower mileage transmission are ready to be installed, just waiting on TRD lightweight flywheel to be shipped)
Solid transmission mount
Stock Differential (stock bushings)
Megan racing differential brace
Suspension:
Fortune Auto 500 coilovers (6k Front 7k Rear)
Kazama Auto angle kit (+20mm lower control arms)
(Had Megan Racing inner tie rods with steering rack spacers before)
Stance V1 RLCA
SPC toe arms
Front and rear Blitz strut braces
Cusco rear pillar power brace
Exterior:
Modified OEM front bumper
TRD style fender garnishes (broke boi hours)
JDM OEM taillights
GK Tech aero mirrors
Reveal side mirror relocation kit
SSR Type C 17x7.5 +45 with 25mm spacers in the front (don't quote me on that offset)
Tires are:
215/45/17 front
225/45/17 rear
Interior:
Thrash Racing Alpha driver's seat
Bride Type-FG driver seat rail.
Blitz temperature and pressure gauge (oil)
Crusty Vertex Steering wheel
P2M Black and Grey Checkered floor mats
Shirtstuckedin shift knob
Red "drift button" (forgot the brand)
BRZ gauge cluster face swap
I haven't had the chance to really shake down the car in its current state but I'm excited to test it out soon for better or for worse lol.
These cars need little to nothing to get on track and be super fun. So if anyone has one and is thinking about it just do it, it's definitely worth it. Admittedly, I don't drive the car on track as much as I would hope, so someone that's a little more dedicated will want to upgrade certain things a lot faster than I have.
Really want to do some work to the differential (Mechanical LSD and higher final drive) and exterior next so will definitely update this posting if that happens.
Highly recommend upgrading throw out bearing (which is just oem 17+ I believe), clutch fork, and pivot ball when you swap your clutch out ๐
Happy to see this ๐๐ been using a completely stock frs for the past year and it's been super reliable for the most part, back and forth to our local track 6x. Blew up a diff and burned a bumper from backfiring I think (I pull the oem muffler temporarily to hear the car) but that's it. Axles are fine, temps are good. Only mod is drift button from my old car.
Interested in seeing the feedback on your angle kit.
