In the search for a bulletproof seat time car I ended up getting this fully stock unmodified chassis from my friend for trade for my scooter. This absolute gem has allegedly 340k miles and was sitting since 2016.
Now this gem of a 328i was sitting for a very long period of time and to be able to make this a super reliable seat time car I threw in a much lower mileage m52/ zf5spd from an old 190e project.
First push out of the shop with new suspension and of course some late night wheel mockups.
Pbm diff brace and bushings
Made a shifter adapter to adapt the garagistic shifter to a vertex knob
Welded the diff, cut knuckles, extended LCA works pretty good for now until I decide that I need something better.
Made up some seat brackets to simplify the interior and to add some swag. And played around with some interior trim that fell off at some point. I also grabbed a random file for a 3d printed gauge pod holder but this design sucks so I'll be revisiting that in the near future for my Flock digital gauge.
That's about it for stage 1 of the "build"
