I don't know how relevant this will be for most people since the FB is not a popular chassis for drifting, but I've been drifting mine on and off since 2013 and I've found it to be a really rewarding experience and lots of fun despite the low power.
I basically have a really simple set of weld on style coilovers, a Kaaz 2 way LSD, and a bucket seat. Up until this year, the car was a stockport 12a with a Weber IDA carb and a nice exhaust, it made 102 whp a few years back on a friend's dyno.
I recently had a half bridge 13b built for the car and just got it in and running before the winter weather started, but that was more about just making the car more noisy and dramatic than needing any extra power to drift. The car is still 4x110 bolt pattern with drum rear brakes and no power steering.
Happy to answer any questions about the car setup, but it's pretty simple. These cars have a weird rear suspension design, but if you get it low enough the suspension can't really move much anyway, and I run either a 165 or 185 series tire so the engine doesn't have to work as hard to get wheel spin. Lots of additional photos and some video on my instagram, sunset_arcade. Glad to see an active forum again!
loved seeing your car drift years ago when you came to gamebridge. Excited to see some sound clips with the new porting!
