(Story time)
I bought this 1993 Nissan 240sx towards the end of 2019. I was sent a marketplace ad from a buddy on Facebook for this car. It was odd because it happened to be local to me(San Angelo has a terrible import car scene, retirement town). After looking at the ad it dawned on me that i knew the car from years prior.
8 years to be exact, 2011, i was in my first s13 coupe, noticed this factory s13 at an Oreilly auto parts. I pulled in to ask if it was for sale of course(with $3 in my wallet). Thankfully she said no and i gave her my number if she ever decided to.
Fast forward to me looking at the marketplace ad, i message this lady at 3am. Eager to get a response as her asking price was $300. 8 hours go by with no response and i know the car has sold and there was no chance id see it again. She finally messaged me back after reminding her of that day 8 years ago in the Oreilly parking lot. "I remember" is all she wrote. After some conversation back and forth, my best friend and i loaded the trailer to go pick it up(it was only 15 minutes from me). That day in the Oreilly parking lot secured this car for me. She said there was 50 other people trying to offer $1500 to hold the car until the weekend.












After picking the car up, it sat a few months while i finished up the build on my first s13. I was trying to figure out what route i wanted to go with the car since it was almost 100% complete and a clean slate. Looking through spare parts, i decided i wanted to tackle another right hand drive swap since i essentially had everything i needed. This time i would pay more attention to detail and go a step further to insure the firewall swap was the cleanest I've done. While focusing heavy on other projects, i parted out what i wouldn't need from this chassis.
Once all the parts were pulled i was able to focus on drilling spot welds. Way too many spot weld and beer drank later, the RHD firewall was in.
Sticking to the timeline of this thread(i think)
This was the first time we drove Speedsportz in Houston. If you’ve never driven that track, it’s magical.
