What's up dudes? My name is Justin Garner, I'm and old washed up drifter turned fabricator from Texas. I found this place on ZipTied and wanted some fresh minds and content. I started drifting back in 2006, where a group of long time friends formed Team Silhouette ( www.silhouettepower.com ) then and we are still around today. We were primarily a loud mouth shit talking street drift team back then that transitioned into FD proam where multiple guys on the team earned licenses over the years. You can find some of our ancient but pretty rad drift videos here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLd_VtDc4AF-O3LlT7P4tz80qhUlq5zyKa We got all the guys back together and made a push for Final Bout a few years back and made it to the Summit.
I used to drive these things back in the day. A s13 that went through various phases KA, KA-T, SR (multiple) and eventually LS. Eventually I parted the s chassis out and went to a very well setup street/track z33.
My days of driving have been primarily over although I do drive from time to time. I helped a bud build the fc vert (1uz, dogbox, itb with DBW) seen in the first photo above for me to drive at final bout (he also has a rad turbo beams dct ae86) Now I've been focused on family and career. I was building $500-$1mil hotrods at The Roadster Shop in Chicago before I moved to Florida and ran a restomod shop for 4 years. I've now transitioned into aerospace where I build and weld rocket and soon lunar lander stuff for Blue Origin. I also have a side business Full Effect Fab ( www.fulleffectfab.com )where I mainly produce my Silhouette Power product line turbo manifolds for KA24DET, SR20DET, and 1JZ motors along with billet intake manifolds for KA and SR motors. I would like to use this thread to share some of the builds over the years as well as my current product line and offer advice when it comes to fabrication, and maybe a few of you guys will end up running some of my parts on your drift machines. Here's a few shots of some things I have built that I will get into further in more posts.
How did I not know silhouette was also a fab shop!? Killer work! The engraving on the twins roll collector is so good.
