Hi all, would like to field a general discussion about drifting with no power steering. I removed mine after losing the battle to keep fluid from leaking out of various points in the system. my first shakedown without power steering proved that it is indeed a burden to drift with. I am also running ~7deg of caster up front now which I believe to be excessive now, the car self-steers at the speed of light and it is almost dangerous trying to catch the wheel. This is also in conjunction with a 320mm steering wheel, my plan moving forward is to reduce caster to a ~4deg and get a 350mm momo. I would like to keep p/s off the car for the sake of simplification, so I'd love to hear how others have set up their cars without power steering. thanks!

I have also run a depowered rack for close to 10 years - I never really knew my specs but they were very middle-of-the-road-stock-but-lowered-and-eyeballed for nearly all 10.
The wheel can definitely be dangerous, but I'd never go back. It allows for extremely aggressive self steer, and the car responds fast enough for anything as long as you don't truly overcook it and run out of engine torque.
I should look around for my only shop alignment sheet to see if I can find out what it was before..
