I am looking to update my z33s rear coilover setup due to running out of toe adjustment. It currently has BC coils that came on the car with a divorced rear setup.
They do make a kit to convert it to a true coil over, but I've heard mixed reviews on them, monster truck ride height, stuff not fitting together etc.
Would like to hear if anyone has used that kit in the past or if I'm better off buying an assembled pair from somewhere else. If that's the case who sells just rear coilovers?
Ran out of toe adjustment because you lowered the car more? Or just cant get the toe where you want it to be? Asking because I'm debating devorced or true myself.
Also, on the true side I've heard decent things about silvers suspension from friends who ran them on other chassis. Interested in giving them a try since they don't break the bank but seem to be decent quality. If anyone has experience with them I'd love to hear about it.
I ran fortune auto 500 true coils on my Z33 and loved them.
Also since you'll be in the market for toe arms, consider the FDF or Bell toe gain brackets. Made all the difference for me in finding the forward bite I was chasing
You'll have a good amount more of capable adjustment running with a true setup since you get rid of the big ass bucket for an adjustable arm.
Ride height has a few variables like your spring rate/length so I would just double check what it would be from BC. Ex: Stance it's 12k/200mm front and like 8k/175mm rear. If you do need more adjustability in terms of height (I forget if BC sells) but you could droop the spring (on true type) and install helper springs to safely have it droop.
anyone have pics of bc and/or stance maxed out in the rear(preferably on a G). Needa get low ASAP and debating which to buy... Also opinions on spending the extra 600 for stance?
you're gonna have to go with a true setup and buy toe arms if you ever want to really mess with camber and toe settings. I have scale suspension coil overs on my z33 (13k/12k) and I have nothing but good things to say about them after 5 years
Probably already been said but if you want a z33/z34 low at all in the rear and want to have any reasonable alignment settings whatsoever you will have to do a true setup and get at least toe and camber arms at minimum. Z rear suspension is extremely limited with stock arms unfortunately.
